Watch Cecil Afrika in action:

Afrika made his debut for the Springbok Sevens team in 2009 and was singled out in 2011 when he was named the IRB 7's Player of the Year after starring on the HSBC Sevens World Series, scoring 40 tries and a total of 385 points.

He follows Samoa's Uale Mai and Kenya's Humphrey Kayange in becoming Rugby Sevens' third Anti-Doping ambassador.

"I am absolutely delighted to be a part of this important initiative. I have learnt that there is no shortcut to success - it takes a lot of hard work, hours of training, dedication, commitment and self belief to achieve your goals.

"I am looking forward to be involved in this project and to contribute in whatever way to keep Rugby Sevens clean."
